Luxury phones are the latest craze in the market. Many companies have ventured into manufacture of luxury phone. Most these models are limited editions only. The title of the world’s most expensive phone is now held by iPhone 3G King’s Button. Uber-premium phones were earlier manufactured by only Vertu which is a division of Nokia. Several new luxury mobile makers like Gresso, Mobiado and GoldVish have now plunged into the market. Many other mobile makers have also recently started producing premium models.
This is considered the world’s most expensive mobile phone. This attractive handset includes 18- carats of yellow, white and pink gold. iPhone 3G model is designed by Austrian jeweler Peter Aloisson. It includes 138 brilliantly cut diamonds. The only functional button (home button) is made of a 6.6 carat weighing diamond. Small diamonds are embedded on white gold border of the iPhones frame. Manufactured by apple this iPhone 3G Kings button is priced 2,253,556.6dollars.
Priced at $1.3 million this is the next expensive model on the list. This is manufactured by Moscow based JSC Ancort Company. The Diamond Crypto Smartphone has been designed by luxury accessories maker Peter Aloisson. It has 50 diamonds embedded into the cover; these include 10 very expensive blue diamonds. It comes in white and pink gold. This handset comes in a pink gold case decorated diamonds. The manufacturer has incorporated a powerful encryption technology to provide added security. This encryption will provide security of information against kidnapping and technological blackmailing. It is built on Windows CE operating system and also features a high-resolution colour TFT display which can store up to 4000 numbers in its memory. It has a Motorola MX21 processor with a processing speed of 266 MHz. Features like Music Player and USB connectivity have also been included.
The Goldvish Le is truly a masterpiece because of its unique design. Only 100 of these phones were made and are available only on special requests. Priced at $1,000,000 (£540,540) it is one of the most expensive handsets. This mobile phone has 120 carats worth of VVS-1 grade diamonds. GoldVish is always made with at least 140 grams of solid gold. Original pure high grade diamonds have been embedded in the phone. This mobile comes in different color variants like rose, yellow and white.
Vertu is one company which specializes in luxury handset production. Its newest luxury phone is the Vertu Signature Cobra. This model has been designed by Boucheron, a French jeweler. It features one pear-cut diamond, a round white diamond, two emerald eyes and 439 rubies. This model is priced at $310,000. Vertu also offers a “cheaper version” of the cell phone called the Signature Python with a price tag of $115,000. This is a limited edition and only 26 Signature Cobras will be available.
